The Grand Island Music Series will present its ninth
concert of the 2025-2026 Season on Sunday, May 17th at 2:00 p.m.
Debby
Greenblatt and David Seay have played together ever since the day they met in
1978 when the band David was in ran a newspaper ad for a fiddler. David had
recently moved from Alabama to Nebraska and the first song Debby played for the
band was a rousing rendition of “Alabama Jubilee”. Since then they have
performed as a duo at thousands of concerts, festivals, fairs, weddings,
schools, and picnics. The musical duo play and sing fun, upbeat traditional and
original folk music on a multitude of instruments including 5 string fiddle,
nyckelharpa, Hardanger fiddle, crwth, hammered
dulcimer, banjo, harmonicas, whistles,
and guitar.
